Terms of Service
The goal of all BKLearning lessons is to provide a safe and effective online learning environment for students. As parent or guardian, to register you are asked to agree to the following terms of service for the 2023-24 academic year.
1) The BKLearning private tutoring fees are as follows: 45 minutes = 51$ ; 60 minutes = $68 ; 90 minutes = $102 ; semi-private 60 minutes = $90.
2) Tutoring schedule changes or cancellations must be made at least one day before the lesson. Failure to do so will result in the full fee being charged.
3) Tutoring lessons will be delivered for the scheduled time. If a student arrives late, the time is lost, and the lesson will not be extended. If a student has not arrived within 15 minutes of the start time, the lesson is assumed to be cancelled.
4) BKLearning is not affiliated with any school, school board, or other educational institution. There are no grades and lessons do not replace school curriculum.
5) Students and parents/guardians are strictly prohibited to record, by video, photo, or audio, any portion of a BKLearning lesson or activity.
6) Participants will be engaging in live Zoom lessons; video is mandatory, and the teacher or other students may be able to see and hear anything occurring in the vicinity.
7) Students are expected to act appropriately during the lessons. There will be no tolerance for swearing, offensive language, or inappropriate behaviour.
8) BKLearning may make use of various online programs and websites to create engaging lessons. These third parties may contain advertisements; for example, YouTube ads prior to a video. BKLearning is not associated with these third parties or advertisers and does not endorse any product viewed in this manner.
